Seaworthy

Strategy · Seaworthy

Expert review and support for your grant applications.

You have someone writing your application, and they know your work better than anyone. What’s often missing is a senior set of eyes before it goes out the door. Seaworthy gives your team that expert read, so you can submit with confidence.

Three ways to work together

Start where you are. Each step builds on the one before it.

Readiness check · $500

A conversation and a one-page read on fit: whether this grant is right for you now, what to lead with, and the gaps to close before writing. If you book a review within 14 days, this fee is credited toward it.

Expert review · $1,500

We read your full draft and budget, leave clear comments in the document, summarize strengths and risks, and walk through it with you in a one-hour call. Returned within five business days.

Review and coaching · $3,000

Everything in the expert review, plus a second read of your revised draft, a check that your budget and activities tell the same story, and a final read before you submit.

Full writing partnerships are available by conversation, as timelines allow.

What we look for

Strong applications share the same foundations, whatever the funder.

  1. 01

    The need

Clear evidence of the need in your community.

  2. 02

    Your track record

A history that earns the funder’s confidence.

  3. 03

    Real outcomes

Results that can be measured and reported.

  4. 04

    An honest budget

A budget that matches the work.

  5. 05

    One story

A consistent case from the first page to the last.

What to expect

Your application stays in your voice.

We comment and coach, and we don’t rewrite your work unless you’ve asked us to.

Fees are flat, never a percentage of the grant, and everything you share stays confidential.

No one can promise funding, but we can help you send in your strongest case.

Why Seaworthy?

Before a boat leaves the harbour, someone checks the hull, the rigging, and everything in between. Seaworthy means ready for open water, built to hold up once conditions get real. That’s what an application needs before a funder reads it.

We can’t promise calm seas or a guaranteed arrival; nobody honest can. But we can make sure what you send out is sound. (And yes, we’re sensing a theme too.)

Let’s talk it through.

Tell us which grant you’re working toward and when it’s due, and we’ll tell you which kind of support makes sense.
